Below is a small part of a email received from the Adult Guardian office Brisbane, Blue Care received a letter from the Solicitor and this is what has occured.
The current offer from Blue Care is for them to continue to provide services until Monday 5 December 2011. From Tuesday 6 December 2011 Australian Recruiting Group would support Hannah.
An unbiased and independent third party has indicated that your mother requires professional support services. Note that as per the legislation and policies, the OAG is obligated to follow expert professional advice.
As I indicated in my previous e-mails, the OAG wants to consider your thoughts and plans to assist your mother regarding provision of services. Should you want to find an alternate service provider, the OAG is willing to consider this and you may take the necessary time. In the meantime your mother would need to be placed in a respite facility.
Please let me know what you would do to manage conflict with any alternate service provider; or whether you would like to find an alternate service provider for your mother, so that the OAG can find a respite service for Hannah until a permanent solution can be reached.
Welcome
I am writing this Blog in a Hope that it will help anyone that is involved with the Public Trustee Office or the Adult Guardian Office here in Brisbane.
As I live this on a daily basis with my Mother who I care for, she is 90 years old and I have been caring for her since my father passed away 8 years ago, and this is all about the drama and what I have learned in that time.

Blue Care Nurses Rip Off Elderly
Well surprise surprise, just got hold of a Blue Care Nurse 3 month invoice the first I have seen in 7 years, and behold the rip off for overcharging services, and food money on a 2 hour outing, my mum must be feeding a army.
Blue Care, take mum out for a 2 hour drive twice a week, and during this period they buy my mother her lunch, so you can imagine my surprise while going through the dockets for just one of these lunch's, and just one docket for food is:
3 PIES, 2 PASTIES, 3 CHOCOLATE MILKS, 1 STRAWBERRY MILK, 1 V ENERGY DRINK, 1 LOAF OF BREAD, 1 SPONGE CAKE, BANANA'S, KNIFES, FORKS, SPOONS, DON'T FORGET MUM IS 90 YEARS OLD AND HAS NO TEETH.
AM I WRONG IN SAYING THAT THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THIS, AND DON'T FORGET THE PUBLIC TRUSTEE'S OFFICE IS PAYING THIS MONEY AS A REINBURSTMENT BACK TO BLUE CARE NURSES.

THe First Court Case
The first court case was about 2 months after my father had passes away, my mother and myself had received court papers, it was then I found out the paper work was lodged at the court house on the day of my fathers funeral, so now I knew why my half sisters had not attended the wake at the house and were telling everyone they had not been invited and also showed me the trouble that was to follow.
My mother and myself attended the court case on the day at the Guardian and Administration Tribunal court room, it turns out this is a panel of 3 people on one side of a big long table and the people of interest (family) on the other side and people that are witnesses seated behind, well this is what I believe would be referred to as a kangaroo court, within 5 mins my enduring powers of attorney were cancelled, mums will cancelled, and there was not a thing that could be done, all of mums money was handed over to the Public Trustee's Office, as this is what my half sister's wanted, when I asked why this decision was made they used the excuse conflict with my sisters.
Now the reason my half sister's wanted the to lay claim to take over the money was my father hand received a large compensation payout 3 months before he died for asbestosis's of which he died from. This so called court did not want to hear that my half sister's hardly saw mum and dad at all, they bought in witnesses like the RSL welfare guy, friends that mum and dad had not seen for 4 years as this so called friend had asked dad not to come around to there house anymore as mum being old made her furniture smell and dad was really pissed that she had said it, they had known this couple for nearly 30 years.

Saturday
9 am he came demanding all mum's bank books and financial papers, I kicked him out, he said will be back on Monday with a solicitor.
What this man had done is ( from the RSL), 3 mths before my Father passed away he had bought solicitors in to the house when I had taken my husband for doctor's appointments to change dad's Will, he had told my father that the family solicitor of 30 years was dead and it was best to use his solicitors.
I arrived home early from the doctors to find these solicitors in my father's bedroom and this man was stopping me from going into the room to find out what was going on, as he had dismissed the Blue Care Nurse that was looking after my father for me, dad asked me to keep this man out of the room for 10 mins while he spoke to the solicitors by himself, which I did. They left after about 30 mins later and so did the man.
I went in my fathers bedroom and asked him what that was all about and dad said that the man had kept bothering him to change his Will, this is when I found out he had told my father our solicitor was dead, who I got on the phone to say he was much alive to my father, I told him what was going on and he said he was going overseas for 3 mths(dad passed away the day our solicitor was coming for his appointment) and he would fix this up when he got back, I asked dad why he had asked me to keep him out of the room and he told me this man (from the RSL) would not let dad put me down as a excecutor of his Will only him.
Dad had made the solicitors put me down on his Will because he said something fishy was going on with this man. Well Monday came and he turned up demanding again for the bank books etc, saying he was the excecutor of my Father's Will and it was not up to me at all, I told him to get his solicitor on the phone which he did and I explained to his solicitor that I was also a excecutor and as his daughter I had more rights than this man (from the RSL), his solicitor then spoke to him on the phone and he then left.

The Funeral
The funeral happened on the Friday in June, my husbands family all attended, my half sister's and there family attended, and no one spoke, the crematorium was full, the front 2 rows were left vacant for myself, husband, my adult children and Mum who was in a wheelchair, my half sisters and there family's behind the front seat, but oh no they had to make a scene that they wanted the front row only, well my husband told them no we were not moving and that was that.
I had made sure that the celebrant doing the funeral made a recording and a printed version of the service, (as I knew my half sister's were going to say things about the service) which did happen, as they reckoned they were not mentioned in the service at all, they did not attend the wake as they told everyone they were not invited to it, but I had arranged also a small wake with tea/coffee/sandwiches etc at the crematorium for those that did not have time to return to the home for the wake.
I was accosted by a man that had been visiting my father for the last 12 months from the RSL welfare section as a companion for 2 hours a week on Tuesday, this man had changed my fathers Will 3 months earlier before he had died, he started saying at the funeral that he would be around at the house at 9 am the next day Saturday to get all my mothers bank books, financial papers etc, my family on my husband's side intervened and told him this was not the right time or place to be doing this and please leave, he raced right to my half sister and told her I was being uncooperative, gee this was my fathers funeral for gods sake.

The Beginning
In the beginning my Father and Mother lived next door to me and had done so for 5 years, my father got sick with asbestosis, and passed away in 2003.
The day he died I did the what I thought was the right thing by phoning my half sisters, well that was a big mistake, and it set things in action that is still going on now 8 years later, but just to get things in order my half sisters hardly ever saw mum and dad at all, well one turned up with her suitcases to move in with mum (which mum told her no she was staying with me), the other one just came.
Dad had passed away on the Monday, well then the orders started, cant have funeral o n Wednesday thats my birthday says one sister, cant have it Friday my anniversary says the other one and I go out to lunch, well bugger her lunch Friday it is at 11.30 am.
Well that was the BEGINNING
